Accessibility statement.
What we have built for readers who use a screen reader, a keyboard, large type or reduced motion, what is still rough, and how to tell us when something shuts you out.

01
What we are aiming at
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 at level AA across Starwell. That is the standard named by the Australian Human Rights Commission, by section 508 in the United States, and by the European Accessibility Act.
We are not claiming full conformance today. Section 03 lists what we know is short of it. Saying we conform while a gap is open would be the kind of claim this page exists to avoid.
02
What works today
Every page can be used with a keyboard alone, and the focus outline is visible on a dark background. Text meets the 4.5 to 1 contrast ratio against the surface behind it, and nothing that has to be read is set below 12 pixels.
Your reading is delivered as a web page as well as a PDF, so a screen reader can read it without fighting a document layout. Headings are real headings, the tables on these legal pages are marked up as tables with header cells, and every image that carries meaning has a text alternative.
If your device asks for reduced motion, the thread stops animating and the reading simply appears. Nothing on Starwell flashes, and nothing moves on its own.
03
What is not there yet
The birth-time input is three linked fields rather than one, which is better on a phone and more work with a screen reader than we would like.
The chart wheel is a picture. Everything it shows is also written out in words further down your reading, so nothing is available only in the image, but the wheel itself has no long description yet.
The PDF version of a reading is not tagged for assistive technology. Use the web version of your reading, which is, or ask us and we will send the text on its own.
04
If something shuts you out
Write to support@starwell-hh.com and say what you were trying to do, what got in the way, and what you were using. We answer within one business day and we will tell you honestly whether it is a quick fix or a long one.
If you cannot use part of Starwell you have paid for, you do not have to wait for the fix. Ask and we will give you what you bought in a form you can use, or refund it.
05
How this statement is kept honest
We review this page whenever the terms version at the top of it changes, and whenever a reader tells us about something not listed here. A gap somebody reports is added to section 03 even before it is fixed, so this page never reads better than the product.
